It's been over 110 degrees in Redding for 3 weeks... The snow melt in the Siskiyous around Mount Shasta makes the lakes, rivers and streams very inviting. We enjoy the trip up to Castle lake which is a glacial cirque of cool water that is crystal clear, snugged by a rocky granite amphitheater and forest. Outside at the studio painting in the brilliant sunshine can be challenging...
