First I draw lightly on the panel and add the white pigment, next I seal it with shellac and then lightly sand. The smooth surface is ready for the application of waterproof india ink with rapidograph. Upon completion the panel is again sealed with shellac. I used this technique for many of the boxes and panels I made.
